The battle lines have been drawn in Workington.
Footballers from the town’s Yankees FC team are to take on a side made up of female staff from Yankees bar in a charity football match.
The match on Sunday will raise money for Cash for Kids, a charity which helps disabled and disadvantaged children in the UK.
The game will kick off at 3.30pm on the field at Workington Leisure Centre, Moorclose.
An after-party will be held at Yankees, on Washington Street, from 6pm. There will be live music, leg waxing, cream pie games, a raffle and an awards presentation for players in the charity match.
There will be an auction of Liverpool FC memorabilia, including a T-shirt signed by various players and a football signed by Steven Gerrard.
Maddie Edgar, one of the organisers and a member of the Yankees’ bar staff, said: “A lot of people are talking about it. We are hoping for a good day."
Donations to Cash for Kids can be made on the day of the event.
