Keswick Golf Club’s Senior Men’s Open 4BBB took place on Tuesday, having been postponed twice due to the wet summer.

The winners were Peter Austin, of Keswick, and Wetherby’s Kevin Fineran on 43 points.

Despite the date changes there was a reasonable turnout, with players mainly from Cumbrian golf clubs but including some from Lancashire, Yorkshire and Scotland.

Although the day started frosty it turned out to be completely dry and quite warm and sunny.

Some good golf was played and refreshments enjoyed, and at the end of the day John Howell, the event organiser, presented the prizes to the winners.

He gave the customary thanks to all those who had made the day a success and the winning guest Kevin Fineran thanked Keswick Golf Club for hosting an excellent event and is already looking forward to next year.
