West Cumbrian owned racehorse Soll goes into tomorrow's Grand National as a 50/1 outsider.

The giant 11-year-old set off at 16/1 with the bookies last year, but finished ninth.

Soll - owned by Rowrah businessman Derrick Mossop - will again go over the Aintree fences this weekend.

According to Aintree officials, Soll is 'Likely to give backers plenty to cheer about with his proven ability over the Grand National fences'.

Soll is carrying more weight than in his two previous attempts, but the David Pipe-trained horse has stamina in abundance.

He will be ridden by jockey Conor O'Farrell, who has enjoyed a fair bit of success recently.

In the last three months, the Irishman has landed owners £68,000 in prize money with eight wins and 12 placings from 56 runs.
