Alan’s ten are enough for first

HARRINGTON Sea Angling Club fished at Port Carlisle.

Eleven anglers fished from 4pm-8pm catching 38 flounders.

First was Alan Hill from Little Clifton with 10 fish for a total weight of 7lb 2½oz.

Second was Darren Pape from Flimby with seven fish for 5lb 8oz and third was Brian Holiday from Parton with six fish for 5lb ½oz.

Holiday also had the heaviest fish at 1lb 6oz.

First junior was Scott Holiday from Flimby with one fish weighing 1lb 1oz.

n WORKINGTON Sea Angling Club fished a match at Allonby where 21 anglers caught plaice, flounder and turbot. Forty fish were weighed in.

First was Adam Stewart with nine plaice for 5lb 6oz. Second was Paul Cain with four plaice for 2lb 4¾oz and third was Jimmy Smith with three plaice and one flounder for 2lb 3½oz.

In the juniors Thomas Smith won with three plaice for 1lb 12½oz, second was Ben Cain with one plaice for 13¾oz and third was Shane Hilton with one plaice for 11oz.

The heaviest fish was won by junior Ben Cain with 13¾oz.
