MARYPORT and District Sea Anglers Club held its under-16 open sea angling competition last Saturday on the town’s North Pier.

Sixteen junior anglers took part in the competition and 15 fish were caught, including flounders, dabs, eels and plaice.

In the open section, Robbie Holt came first with eight fish (148cm). Second was Callum Pattinson with three fish (59cm) and third was Ricky Holt with one fish (24cm). Longest fish was won by Robbie Holt and Ricky Holt and Callum Pattinson won the Horizon Tiles trophy with three fish, at 59cm.
