FLIMBY West Coast Flying Club’s Marlborough Show race had 62 entries and was judged by Jimmy Hadfield and Alan Devlin.
They gave tickets to: 1, Harker and Berwick; 2, E Blows and son (Keekle); 3, J and D Hine and grandson; 4, 5, D Harrison and son (Egremont); 6, Evans and Dixon; 7, Mr and Mrs Proctor; 8, D Buglass.
The race prize money will be: 1, £62; 2, £46.50; 3, £31; 4, £15.50.
Sunday’s show for Portsmouth No 1 Show race (penning 1pm, judging 2pm) will mean only birds in the show will be eligible to be entered in the race. Ring numbers to secretary on day of show. It will be £2.50p a bird/race, £1 single bird nom/race, 25p bird/show.
