WORKINGTON Reds Reserves can give the club an end-of-season boost as they aim to win the Lancashire League side and the League Cup.
The Reserves booked a place in the cup final in an explosive semi against Ossett Town.
Reds won 4-1 but ended the game with nine players, which was still two more than the home side.
Goalkeeper Aaron Taylor and defender Johnny Jardine were both sent off for the Reds after an exchange of punches when Ossett scored.
Andrew Hardman had put Reds ahead and the lead was doubled when Ross Johnston hit a cracker from 35 yards.
Dan Gullen hit the third from distance after he beat three defenders but Ossett scored.
Victory was assured as Phil McLuckie scored the fourth from the penalty spot. The final will be at Borough Park on May 3. The other semi, Formby v Farsley Celtic was played last night.
In the league Reds are still top, three points clear of Fleetwood.
