Lee Andrews hopes Reds’ 5-1 thrashing of Halesowen Town can help them to a third win in a row tonight.

Workington host Marine (7.45pm kick-off) with a win likely to move them into the top half of the table.

Having turned around their form with back-to-back wins against Ashton and Halesowen, joint boss Andrews believes it is now about keeping that run going.

“We’ve been threatening to put a few goals past somebody for weeks,” he said.

“Even when we were 5-1 up, the lads were still putting their bodies on the line and wanting to score more. Some of our football was brilliant.

“If we can keep it tight at the back, the quality we have going forward can break down most teams in the league.”

Midfielder Anthony Wright is expected to be available for tonight, but Andrews hinted he and fellow manager Dave Hewson would be reluctant to change a winning side.

He added: “It’s frustrating for lads on the bench or not getting in the squad, but they’ve got to be patient because we are going to need everyone during the season.”
