Defender Gari Rowntree believes Workington Reds have to put Saturday's dismal 4-0 defeat at Mickleover Sports down as just one of those days.
Reds had been in fine form before the weekend, winning six of their last seven league games which included a 4-1 drubbing of Mickleover at Borough Park.
But Rowntree said his side just weren't at it last weekend and hopes the team can learn lessons from the loss as they push for promotion.
He said: "We just weren't ourselves and we started rather flat in the first half but still could have come in at half-time with something.
"We had a penalty decision turned down that should have been given but things like that happen.
"I went in at half-time and still thought we'd get the three points."
Despite the demoralising result, Rowntree is keen to focus on the positives of their recent form and rally round ahead of Saturday's game against Warrington Town.
He said: "Hopefully, it's just a blip for us because we've been on a brilliant run.
"This just proves that you have to be at it, we can go back and look at the game and use it as an example.
"You can get away with one or two people not being at it but not the amount we had at the weekend."
