Workington Reds confirmed their place in the Evo-Stik premier division play-offs after a superb afternoon's football at Borough Park.
Reds were ahead 4-0 by half time against Buxton and made it 5-0 by the final whistle to win comfortably.
Then, after a couple of tense minutes came the news from Stourbridge where Salford had won 2-1 to hand Reds the play-off slot.
It was a fitting finale for veteran defender Kyle May who scored the first goal on his farewell from Borough Park.
Conor Tinnion bagged a brace and Rob Wilson collected his first for the club, plus one from Gareth Arnison.
Reds now head to Blyth Spartans for the first round play-off on Tuesday night
