Workington Reds are playing with no fear declared keeper Aaran Taylor as they look to make it six wins from six outings today.

Reds travel to Stourbridge this afternoon hoping to continue their climb up the Evo Stik Northern Premier League.

And shot-stopper Taylor says there is no increased pressure on the players as they look to keep up their run of form, which also extended to five clean sheets with the midweek win over Spennymoor.

In fact the number one believes it is the exact opposite.

"I think we are playing with no fear because we are the chasers at the moment," he said.

"We've hit a good patch of form so we have the confidence and hopefully we can take that into our next game.

"Clean sheets aren't everything but obviously you want them. But first and foremost we want to win games.

"Our attacking players are in form so we know we will have chances to score.

"We know we won't keep a clean sheet every game but if we can keep winning then maybe we can keep that clean sheet in the process."

Taylor paid tribute to his defensive line, who he says have been crucial in the past few weeks.

And he says having a more settled side has led to an increase in confidence as Reds have won their last four league games, and added a County Cup victory to their tally.

"We have got players back and people aren't playing out of position any more which has helped us," he explained.

"We are much more settled and balanced. Having Gari Rowntree back as captain and getting the same back four out a few weeks on the trot has paid off as well.

"There is more competition for places and people are starting to look over their shoulder at the lads coming back."

Reds are now up to seventh in the league, just one place off the final play-off positions.

And Taylor says the rest of the league will now be sitting up and taking notice of them.

"In the last two seasons when I wasn't with the club, they have been up there challenging at the top of the league so I'm sure other teams were wondering about us," he added.

"Hopefully now we are getting stronger and I'm sure the other sides will be respectful of us and expect us to be challenging again."

Today's match at Stourbridge kicks off at 3pm.
