Workington Reds midfielder Phil McLuckie says he's desperate to add to his goal tally on Saturday when his team travel to Mickleover Sports.

The former Morecambe midfielder scored his side's fourth and final goal in their resounding 4-0 victory over Hyde on Monday night.

Derek Townsley's side have won their last five games in all competitions and have kept four consecutive clean sheets.

Reds can still win the Northern Premier League title, but are five points behind leaders Blyth who beat Salford on Tuesday.

McLuckie said: "I had only got one goal this season and that was against Stamford. I missed a lot of chances in the Colwyn Bay game and they won.

"But Monday was a good win and that's what mattered. They battered us in the first half hour, but we changed our shape and the manager says we need to be ruthless in both boxes."

The 26-year-old has made 34 appearances in league and cup this season and had only scored once this season before Monday's game.

Reds have a clean bill of health going into the match and striker Matty Tymon has returned to training although he's unlikely to play.

The play-off chasers drew 2-2 with Mickleover at Borough Park earlier in the season and McLuckie was sent-off.

He added: "We will just go there and try and execute our gameplan. The lads are confident and have won five games on the bounce and we will try and get a result."

Kick off at Station Road is at 3pm.

Reds have put in place a new management structure, aimed at pulling together everyone who uses the club.

It was outlined at a meeting on Wednesday night. There will now be an executive management group made up of two directors and the commercial manager.

And underneath that there will be a nine-strong group with representatives from all the organisations that use Borough Park including the first team, reserves, ladies team, juniors, staff/volunteers, shareholders, supporters club and Reds Development Fund.

This committee will meet every two to three months and report to the executive management group, who can then talk to the board if required.
