Workington Reds assistant boss Lee Andrews says his side must make home advantage count ahead of tomorrow's home match with Ilkeston.

Reds have picked up just one point from their last two matches, but could leapfrog their opponents with a win.

Tuesday's match with Salford was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch, but the team have been spending extra time training.

He said: "It was disappointing because it was a chance to put things right from ten days ago, but the extra few days did the lads good really.

"We're the home team so we need to set the tempo. We know we can play well and we're a match for anyone."

Andrews expects quartet James Earl, Jake Simpson, Joe McGee and Gareth Arnison to be fit for the match despite them nursing injuries this week.

Striker Matty Tymon remains the only absentee after chipping a bone in the 1-1 draw with Frickley last time out.

Workington have lost just once at home in the league all season, but will be back in action again on Tuesday night when they host Clitheroe in The Integro Doodson League Cup.

Andrews added: "To be honest after the end of November the games would calm down, but it will be like Kendal.

"We'll do a head count on Saturday and see who's available and we will give the lads who don't play as much a chance.

"We won't put out a weakened team, just a team that can win the game."

The Reds have won two of their last five league games while Ilkeston have won their last four, but three points could lift Workington into the top five.
