Goals from James Earl and Scott Allison led Workington Reds to an opening day victory at Rushall Olympic.
Reds made the long trip on the first day of the new Evo Stik Northern Premier League season.
And they enjoyed success as Earl put them in the lead after just five minutes and it stayed 1-0 to half time.
Allison made it 2-0 into the second half before Rushall replied with a late goal.
The man-of-the-match for Reds was Josh Calvert
