Last season's leading goalscorer Scott Allison will be back on the field for Workington Reds tomorrow after recovering from injury.

Allison missed Tuesday night's League Cup exit at the hands of Clitheroe after aggravating a knock in last Saturday's victory over league leaders Rushall Olympic.

But he is back to strengthen the squad that will tackle Mickleover Sports at Borough Park, alongside skipper Gari Rowntree who was rested the past week.

And joint manager Lee Andrews hoped Joe McGee would also be passed fit from a foot problem.

"We will probably go with more or less the same side as last Saturday after the way they all played," said Andrews.

"We said before Tuesday night's match that we would make changes but they were not due to any problems, it was simply a chance to give other players some minutes.

"But Scott is now alright and we just took the chance to rest Gari while we could as later in the season we might not have the luxury.

"Joe pulled out in the warm-up last weekend with a bruised foot but we are hoping he will be okay as well."

The only player who won't feature is Sam Smith, although the defender was due to train for the first time since his injury last night.

Andrews said Reds were looking to put together a good run in the league, building on the Rushall performance.

"If we can come out on the front foot and play the way we know we can then we should have more than enough to go out there and win," said Andrews.

"We are looking to go on a bit of a run and take the initiative. Although I think the conditions will have a say.

"We know what to expect on our own pitch and it is how we adapt to that early on. If we can do that we will have a foothold to carry on."
