Workington Reds joint manager Lee Andrews says his team have turned a corner and believes they can record their third straight win against Stafford tomorrow at Borough Park.

Reds began the month with a four-match winless run, but they have recorded back-to-back wins in their last two games.

They saw off Warrington 2-1 last Saturday before beating Ashton 1-0 on Tuesday night courtesy of a Rob Wilson stunner.

Their midweek win saw them climb up to 11th in the league and Reds have games in hand on all the current top seven sides.

The club have also had to contend with injury problems, the departure of striker Tom Kilifin and the retirement of Phil McLuckie this term.

Andrews said: "Sometimes injuries bring people together and it's worked in our favour.

"Losing Joe McGee to injury is massive, but it gives other players a chance and it's up to them to take that chance.

"Conor Tinnion had a bit of a slow start, but has started to improve in the middle and some fringe players have had a chance.

"We've never questioned the lads' work rate and sometimes things don't go for you.

Gari Rowntree, fellow long-term absentee Anthony Wright and Joe McGee will all miss the match through injury.

The management trio should have James Earl back after he missed Tuesday's game through illness.

The first team squad were due to train as normal last night.

Opponents Stafford are sitting in 18th position on 15 points, but have won their last two games.

Andrews revealed that the club were still looking for new players, but any new additions had to be right.

He added: "Saturday will probably be the same as always. In this league, anyone can beat anyone and we've got to make sure we're right.

"The lads are full of confidence and we need to carry that into Saturday, but we're taking each game as it comes."

Kick off is at 3pm.
