Workington Reds boss Lee Andrews says his side have learned from the Colwyn Bay defeat last season and would not take any side for granted this term.

Reds welcome Warrington Town to Borough Park this afternoon, ko 3pm - a side they have already beaten twice this season.

But Andrews is wary of complacency coming into the ranks and says they will have to be on form to get another result.

“We can take confidence from the wins but we will not be complacent,” said Andrews.

“We just have to look back to Colwyn Bay when they came back up here in the league game and turned us over.

“I hope we have learned our lesson from that game and we will start from scratch again.”

Warrington’s five-game unbeaten start to 2017 came to an end on Monday night with a 2-0 defeat at home to runaway league leaders Blyth Spartans.

But they also picked up a couple more injuries in the clash, that were due to face late assessments. On-loan Tranmere midfielder Mitch Duggan was substituted early on Tuesday with a hamstring injury, while Michael Monaghan came off later on with the same problem.

Warrington manager Paul Carden says they add to a list of players who may be injury doubts for today’s trip to Workington.

“MJ has felt his hamstring and so has Mitch, the way they worked and pressed it’s no coincidence that they’ve got little tweaks,” he said.

“We’ll just have to see how they are, Mitch will go into Tranmere to get some treatment and we’ll have to sort some out for MJ and see how he is.

“Ciaran Kilheeney has had a bit of a knee injury, Sam Ilesanmi has had a hamstring strain, Adam Carden’s had a knock on the side of his knee and we’re still waiting on Danny Hattersley and Sean Williams as well.”
