Workington Reds bosses Dave Hewson and Lee Andrews could be forced to reshuffle their winning side for tonight's first away match of the season at Marine.

Reds got under way with a 3-1 victory against Halesowen Town at Borough Park on Saturday and they travel to Marine (7.45pm kick-off) looking for more of the same.

But they might be forced to do so without Anthony Wright, who was superb in midfield in the opening day win, and striker Nathan Waterston.

Waterston is a doubt after aggravating a preseason knock against Halesowen, while Wright may be absent after the birth of his son on Sunday.

Reds will also still be without the injured Conor Tinnion.

The Mariners finished 18th in the division last season and were on the receiving end of a 5-0 thumping on Saturday but Hewson expects a reaction from them.

He said: "I don't think they'll be massively different but they've brought in some new faces this year.

"For teams that have done that they maybe need a little bit of time to gel which is something we don't necessarily have to do because we've got the same squad that's been together for a few years now.

"We are not going to get carried away.

"It was a great first game, the perfect start for us really so it's important that we kick on from there.

"We know how tough it is to go to places like Marine."

Despite the confident way his players dispatched their visitors in the opening game of the season, Hewson is wary of the squad getting ahead of themselves.

But he did praise forwards Jack Ryan and Scott Allison, who both scored in the win to open their accounts for the campaign.

"It's always a relief for the strikers and forwards to get on the scoresheet and they've got those first goals out of the way," he said.

"They both started really well and contributed not just with their goals but for the rest of the game."
