Workington Reds began their climb back up the table and into the last play-off berth with a superb victory over Stourbridge.

On a day that was all about former skipper Tony Hopper, Reds showed their support to him in the best way – by clinching a 3-1 win.

Reds looked dominant in the first half but it took until the 43rd minute before they broke the deadlock.

David Symington rocketed a brilliant shot into the top corner and then into added time Sam Joel put away their second.

Early into the second half Joel got his second as he beat the keeper and rolled the ball into an empty net.

There could have been more as Reds hit the crossbar on two occasions.

Stourbridge came back with a penalty from Luke Benbow in the 72nd minute but Reds held out to take the win.
