Symington has signed a new deal which will keep him at Borough Park for the 2017/18 season.
He ended last season as Reds’ top-scorer with 15 goals to his name in his first full campaign with the club.
The tally also included Symington’s first hat-trick in senior football.
The striker put two away from the penalty spot and added a superb volley in the club’s win over Mickleover.
When he scored in the play-off game at Stourbridge, it took his total to 14 – one more than last year’s top scorer, Scott Allison.
Allison, who also pledged his future to Reds for next season, then opened the scoring in the Cumberland Cup final.
With just minutes of the season remaining, they were neck-and-neck on 14 goals apiece.
Symingon, a former Carlisle United player, then grabbed a last-gasp winner at Brunton Park, clinching victory for the Reds and overtaking Scott in the process.
Joint manager David Hewson was delighted with his decision to stay with the team.
He also added he was equally pleased to report that nearly all of last season’s squad have agreed to stay and will be returning for pre-season towards the end of June.
Several new faces have also been invited to training to supplement, and improve, last season’s squad.
Reds successfully retained the Cumberland Cup to end their campaign on a positive note after their Evo-Stik Northern Premier League play-off semi-final defeat at Stourbridge.
This coming season they are hoping to have another tilt at promotion, which has been snatched from their grasp in recent years.
