Workington Reds joint manager Lee Andrews says Hednesford Town will still prove to be worthy opponents tomorrow despite losing their manager and top scorer recently.

The Keys Park outfit have seen midfielder George Carline, who has scored 10 goals this term, and boss Liam McDonald join National League side Solihull Moors.

But they now have a new man in charge in Paul Casey and he has made a couple of new additions to his squad.

Despite being relegated from the National League North last term, the Staffordshire side are sitting in fifth place in the league although they have lost their last two games.

Andrews said: "They're a decent team. They came down from the league above and they've not had a bad start.

"We know if we're at it like we were against Spennymoor we're a match for anybody.

"We need to be on our game, but it's more about how we approach the game."

Reds go into tomorrow's clash at Borough Park (ko 3pm) on the back of a narrow win over Ramsbottom in the League Cup.

The main game finished 2-2, but young goalkeeper Tom Fowler made two saves in the penalty shootout as Reds progressed.

But they were looking to bounce back after their five-match winning run without conceding came to an abrupt end last Saturday when they lost 5-0 at Stourbridge.

And tomorrow, Reds will have to make do without Conor Tinnion who is both injured and suspended. They will also probably be without Sam Smith who has an ankle problem.

Tinnion, James Earl and Matty Douglas all went off with injuries in midweek and face checks to ensure their fitness.

Andrews added: "Conor has 10 days to recover and he will be fine for the next game he's available for.

"James Earl came off more as a precautionary measure and he'll be fine, but we're not sure yet about Matty Douglas."

BLOB A Christmas quiz will take place at Borough Park tonight from 7pm. Entry is £2 and money raised will go towards club funds.
