Distington were celebrating after a superb opening round victory in their first ever Challenge Cup clash.
The village outfit travelled to Normanton Knights, of the National Conference League division one and came away with a 31-18 victory.
Distington were leading 14-10 at half time and built on their lead in the second half.
It was a good day for West Cumbrian sides with Kells, Egremont Rangers and Wath Brow Hornets also gaining victories.
All four sides will now go into the hat for the second round draw on Tuesday night.
It takes place at RAF Coningsby from 7pm. Conducting the draw will be Sheffield Eagles and Ireland coach Mark Aston and Batley Bulldogs coach, John Kear.
