Hooker Shaun Lunt had a pre-season setback this weekend after picking up an injury ahead of Hull KR's friendly encounter with his former club.
Ex-Workington Town star Lunt, from Cockermouth, is due to be sent for a scan on his ankle this week as Hull KR coach Chris Chester was left counting the cost of injuries following his side's 38-6 defeat to Huddersfield Giants.
"Shaun is going for a scan (Monday) and we'll wait for the results. In the second-to-last training session he did something to his ankle," Chester said.
"The signs are that he might need a clear-out or some kind of operation but I'm confident it's nothing too bad."
