Seaton A narrowly edged out Kells A to move into the next round of the BARLA Cumbria County Shield on Saturday.
A try and three goals from John Patrick paved the way for the Seaton side, with Steven Dawes, Justin McComb and Owen Nicholas also touched down.
Flimby also moved through with a 40-20 victory over Aspatria.
Good attacking play from Luke Penrice helped Flimby get on top despite good play from Aspatria.
Ellenborough and Dalton were two more withdrawals from the BARLA County Cup this weekend as they pulled out of the competition.
And it was a day for the teams in the south of the county to celebrate as Barrow Island and Walney Central progressed.
Walney overcame a battling Seaton side 38-20 while Barrow Island defeated Ulverston in a very tight game 24-22.
The other match to go ahead was a rearranged Iggesund Cumberland League tie that saw Broughton Red Rose clinch a win over Great Clifton.
A hat-trick of tries from Matthew Skillen was the highlight for Red Rose as they recorded a 40-10 win.
