Maryport's Netherhall Rugby Club has raised £600 for the women's England representative, Catherine O'Donnell.
The club held raffles during the Rugby World Cup to help the Maryport youngster with the cost of travel to training camps and games.
Catherine is a student at Liverpool University and plays for Waterloo Ladies' team.
She has now been selected for England under-20s and has recently joined the senior women's team.
John Shimmings, chairman, said the Netherhall club was proud to help Catherine who was doing so well in the sport.
He said the money raised had been a fantastic effort and he thanked both those who had bought raffle tickets and those who had supported it.
"I would particularly like to thank Steve Skelton Electrical, RGW Plumbing and Tommy Collins, painters, and Her Citi for their kind donations."
