A try in the final two minutes snatched victory away from Workington Town as Doncaster took home the win and the league points.

Town were leading 26-24 going into the last minute when Russell Spiers took advantage of Town being down to 12 men to burst over the line with Jack Miller converting and take the win 30-26.

The lead had changed sides on several occasions in the second half after Town came back at their hosts.

Conor Fitzsimmons, Phil Lister, Jason Mossop, Phil Joseph and man-of-the-match Jamie Doran all bagged tries for Town, with Carl Forber adding three conversions.

But in the end it was not enough as Doncaster claimed the win and Town now have to pick themselves up for a trip to North Wales Crusaders next weekend.

And they will have to sweat on the fitness of prop Stevie Scholey who had to go to hospital with a suspected broken thumb.
