Workington Town are hoping to welcome back Wigan loan star Gabriel Fell for the crunch visit of Toronto Wolfpack on Sunday, ko 3pm.

The talented young full-back has been missing from the Town line-up for the past couple of weeks after being recalled to Wigan's injury hit squad.

But Town's director of rugby Les Ashe is hoping to have Fell back available to take on top of the table Toronto.

"Gabe has been back with Wigan for the past couple of weeks but we are hoping he will be available to us," explained Ashe.

"But we are waiting on the fitness of John Patrick after he missed last weekend when he wasn't 100 per cent.

"Alex Szostak will be back in contention though which is a boost for our forward pack."

The only major doubt for Dave Clark's side will be another on-loan star from Wigan, Kyle Shelford.

The youngster rolled his ankle in training with Wigan during the week and Ashe is waiting to see the extent of the injury.

"We are not ruling Kyle out yet, we will be in touch with him and the Wigan club but he is their player and the final decision will rest with them," he added.

The club is hoping to create a carnival atmosphere with junior matches and other entertainment also on offer throughout the day.

On Sunday morning, there is an Allerdale team festival at Derwent Park for Under-7s, 8s, 9s and 11s with action running from 10am through to 1pm.

Teams will be attending from Aspatria, Broughton RR, Clifton, Cockermouth, Distington, Glasson, Maryport and Seaton.

Every child will receive a medal and certificate and parents have been given the opportunity to attend the game.

Youngsters will have the chance to go on the field as a mascot or a half time game participant.
