Workington Town's pack is set to be propped up by reinforcements this weekend as three injury-hit stars are set to return.

Experienced forwards Kris Coward and Phil Joseph, and new talent Gordon Maudling are all in contention to face Doncaster at Derwent Park on Sunday, ko 3pm.

Coach Dave Clark is delighted to strengthen his pack, especially with an injury doubt hanging over the in-form Stevie Scholey.

"It will be good to get some bodies back," admitted Clark. "When we went to York last weekend we had two middles on the bench.

"So to have some bigger bodies back to choose from this week will be grat for us.

"And the types of player returning are good in these big games, with plenty of experience.

"Carl Forber showed on his return that his experience was invaluable and we are looking for the same from these guys that are back in contention."

Coward makes his return after going under the knife for a knee cleanout while Joseph has been plagued by hamstring problems.

Maudling was suffering with fluid on his knee but Clark is hopeful that he will also feature at Derwent Park.

Doncaster turned over Town's local rivals Whitehaven last weekend and Clark admitted it shows how tough Sunday's game will be.

Doncaster are currently occupying the final play-off berth in fifth but can't afford any slip-ups.

"Whitehaven are what they are, they have been consistent throughout the year and it shows how good Doncaster are when they have competed with them," said Clark.

"It is a great concept that you play against the toughest teams each week. It really tests your consistency and how you play.

"For us we need to look at how we have played. We put in a good performance against Newcastle and against York we won the second half 12-10.

"I thought we played really well and I am looking for a repeat effort from the boys of that.

"If that is good enough to get us a result then so be it."
