The champagne remains on ice at Derwent Park despite Workington Town’s excellent 48-34 victory against Championship One leaders Barrow Raiders.

congratulations to everyone at workington town. a marvellous achievement based around a team of good local players, excellent management from the boardroom down and of course the work of the development team.

whatever happens Town have made great strides this season,securing promotion was the clubs main aim,anything else is the icing on the cake.good luck for the rest of the season.
