Top trainer aiming to make his Mark at Carlisle

LEADING trainer Mark Johnston will have a runner in the first of six sprint races at this evening’s flat meeting at Carlisle.

Johnston’s Middleham goes in the 6.30pm race, with five more races up to 9pm before spectators can stay for a free Grease show featuring live songs from the musical.

All races have been reduced to five or six furlongs on the straight course because the round course is not yet suitable to use after bad weather.
