LEADING North West rock tribute The AC/DC Experience roll into Workington next month to perform a greatest hits show.

The Lancashire-based band of professional musicians will be appearing at Bart's, in Jane Street, on Friday October 13.

The four-piece have rocked the whole length of the UK, delivering the legendary sound, spirit and attitude of one of the world’s greatest stadium bands.

The AC/DC Experience nail the power and look of the rock gods' incendiary stage performance.

This widely-held view was backed up when rock legend and ex-Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden saw the band recently.

He said: “I caught The AC/DC Experience on their 2017 UK tour in Oxford and the gig brought back memories of one of my greatest tour experiences with the Australian rockers in 1980.

“The AC\DC Experience boys captured the spirit of those great anthems I heard every night, and I believe the guitar player sweats as much as Angus!

“If you love AC/DC music a night out at one of their gigs will leave you smiling.”

The band features Darran Short on vocals, lead guitarist Andy Holt, rhythm guitarist James Stringfellow, bassist Steven Wolf, and drummer Dennis Duxbury - all experienced performers and die-hard fans of the Aussie giants.

Expect explosive versions of the classics Highway to Hell, Back in Black, Thunderstruck, Hells Bells, You Shook Me All Night Long, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, T.N.T, Whole Lotta Rosie and many more, in this live set that covers all bases and eras.

Cumbrian rock band Stormcrowe will be providing support on the night.

Doors open at 7pm, and tickets are available in advance from the venue and via www.ticketsource.co.uk
