Workington Comets boss wants big Newcastle win

Workington Comets chief Keith Denham is predicting a big win against struggling Newcastle tonight.
Denham has Aussie ace Kevin Doolan making his long-awaited return for the clash.
The 30-year-old will be standing in for James Wright for the home clash with Newcastle Diamonds from 7pm at Derwent Park.
Despite being without Wright and fellow star Peter Kildemand, Denham is confident of picking up points after Thursday’s disappointment against table-stopping Sheffield.
He said: “Kevin will do alright for us because he knows the track. It’ll be nice for the fans to see him back in Comets colours but we should be win convincingly.
“We are weakened with Peter and James missing but I have no doubt that we will be celebrating victory.”
Former track record holder Doolan now rides for Ipswich Witches in the Premier League after originally moving back to King’s Lynn.
The popular rider has been brought in to guest at No1 due to Wright’s involvement in the semi-final of the Grand Prix qualifiers in Croatia.
Kildemand is making his own bid for Grand Prix glory in another semi-final in Italy and Comets will only be able to use rider replacement for the Dane.
Diamonds No1 Mark Lemon, who is nursing a broken collarbone, has picked up an infection and will be out of the meeting.
Denham said: “With Newcastle losing Mark they are weak and it gives us more of a chance to pick up some big points.”
