Workington Comets major announcement due tonight

Workington Comets fans are being urged to attend tonight's match with Newcastle, at Derwent Park, as a major announcement regarding the future of the club will be made.
The announcement will be made during the Comets' Knock-Out Cup semi-final second leg match with Newcastle, where they need to overturn an 18-point deficit to progress to the final.
Captain Richard Lawson has declared himself fit for the meeting despite dislocating his shoulder during a fall in the first leg last Sunday.
Workington's fixture problems have worsened after their proposed play-off match with Edinburgh was called off last night.
It is not known when the match will be re-run with both teams rapidly running out of available dates.
