Workington Reds can beat Boston to pull off FA Trophy upset - Edmondson

Boss Darren Edmondson insisted Workington Reds’ FA Trophy clash with Boston could be a nice distraction from league matters.
The Borough Park side have won their last three home matches for the first time in over a year, but still remain just two places and two points above the drop zone.
Boston have already done the double over their Cumbrian rivals, but Edmondson said his side can pull off an upset and progress in the competition.
He said: “We have to believe that we can go to Boston and win. There is no point believing otherwise.
“They have beaten us twice this season, but I believe this is a game we can win.
“It was cruel how they beat us at Borough Park on the opening day and we were unlucky on our visit last month. We have the players to hurt Boston.
“We have proven over the last few games that we can win matches and I believe in this squad.
“We have been unlucky at times, but after hanging on to beat Vauxhall I am confident we can put on a good showing.”
Boston have lost three times in their last outings at York Street and Edmondson believes Workington can cause an upset.
He said: “I know their form at home has been patchy, but we cannot take them for granted.
“Boston have beaten us twice, but in a one-off game like this, anything can happen.”
