THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (A683 STRAIGHT BRIDGE, SEDBERGH) (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Cumbria County Council to carry out repair works to the bridge parapet of Straight Bridge ("the Works), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding at speeds in excess of 30 miles per hour along that section of the A683, Sedbergh from a point approx. 60m south west of its junction with the U5489, extending in a north westerly direction across the bridge for approx 75m. No speed limit imposed by this Order will apply to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.

However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 5 days and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
