THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (UI24I CRAMMEL LINN, GILSLAND) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that due to the continued likelihood of danger to the public, as a result of the indiscriminate parking and potential for vehicular collisions, which is both preventing emergency vehicle access and preventing people from observing the Government's social distancing guidelines relating to the COVID 19 pandemic, the County Council of Cumbria has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the UI24I Crammel Linn, Gilsland, from a point approx. 720m north east of the cattle grid, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 1.8km. There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
N.B. This follows 2 emergency notices dated 7 July 2020 and 28 July 2020.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
1. Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and

2. Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
3. Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the road, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the road.
