REVIEW OF STATEMENT OF LICENSING POLICY Allerdale Borough Council is currently undertaking a review of its Statement of Licensing Policy under the Licensing Act 2003 and is consulting with the Police, Fire Authority, Environmental Health, Director of Public Health and other statutory agencies. As part of the review the council is taking this opportunity to invite licence holders, residents, voluntary groups and businesses to comment on a draft version of the policy which has been produced. The council must undertake a review of its Statement of Licensing Policy every five years and the new policy will be implemented in January 2021 to comply with the legislative timetable. The policy sets out how the Council will undertake their duties towards licensing alcohol, entertainment and late-night refreshment, over the next five years. Organisations and individuals are invited to comment on the Councils' proposals for revising their licensing policy. The draft policy can be viewed on the Council's web site www.allerdale.gov.uk All comments must be made by 13 November 2020 and can be submitted by emailing licensing@allerdale.gov.uk or by post to the Licensing Department, Allerdale House, Workington, Cumbria. CA14 3YJ. Each will receive consideration prior to the final draft being placed before Full Council for adoption. 23 October 2020
