THE COUNTY OF CUMBRIA (U2600 SIDDICK - CBC2/39 SIDDICK OVERBRIDGE, PORT OF WORKINGTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Story Construction on behalf of Network Rail to carry out the replacement of the CBC2/39 Siddick Overbridge ("the Works"), the County Council of Cumbria intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) from proceeding along that section of the U2600 Siddick, from a point approx. 110m west of its junction with the A596, extending in a westerly direction for approx. 290m. A suitable alternative route will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the U2600 Siddick, the A596 and the temporarily constructed unadopted road made available for use throughout the duration of the closure with the consent of the landowners.

The Order will come into operation on 22 April 2021 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for 7 weeks and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
