AUTHORITY PUBLIC PATH NOTICE PARTS OF FOOTPATHS 242014 AND 242023, DARLING HOW (SPOUT FORCE), LORTON PARISH TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER 2021 NOTICE IS GIVEN that under Section 14(1) of the RoadTraffic Regulation Act 1984, the Lake District National Park Authority has made an order dated 14 June 2021. The effect of the order is to prohibit public traffic for all purposes from proceeding over all of the footpaths within Darling How Plantation leading to Spout Force, Lorton - from NY 1800 2572 and NY 1785 2478 to NY 1812 2599, due to to enable felling and extraction of timber.

The notice and plan showing the route concerned may be inspected during normal office or opening hours at the National Park Authority Offices, Murley Moss, Oxenholme Road, Kendal, LA9 7RL; at Allerdale Borough Council, Democratic Services, Allerdale Borough Council, Allerdale House, New Bridge Road, Workington, Cumbria, CAM 3YJ; and at Cockermoutti Tourist Information Centre, 88 Main St, Cockermouth, CA13 9LU; and online at

www.lakedistrict.gov.uk/

The order will take effect on 18 June 2021 and will continue in force for six months but it is expected that works will be only take a few months within this timescale. When works are taking place, signs will be erected showing the closed path and the alternative route. The path will be accessible as normal other than on these days. If the works have not been completed it may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
