A woman who impersonated a police officer has been ordered to pay nearly £2,000 by a court.
Sarah Messenger, 32, of Vulcans Lane, Workington, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court in the town on Tuesday.
She was found guilty of impersonating a special constable or a member of the police force on November 7 intending to deceive.
She was also found guilty of driving a Vauxhall Insignia on Central Way without due care and attention on the same day.
Messenger was fined £930 for impersonating an officer and £310 for the driving offence.
She was also ordered to pay £620 costs and a £93 surcharge.
We previously incorrectly reported that the defendant had pleaded guilty to the offences. We apologise for the error.
