They took part in an art project taking place across the length of Hadrian’s Wall and funded by Arts Council England.
The project will run throughout the year taking in all 10 Hadrian’s Wall museums, including the Senhouse Roman Museum in Maryport.
Museum staff worked with 40 children and their work will be submitted to Trinity College, London for a Discover Arts Award.
Museum manager, Jane Laskey, said there may be opportunities for other schools and community groups to be involved at a later stage.
The horse will form part of the Hadrian’s Cavalry exhibition in Maryport from April 8 to September 10.
