A taste of Italy was brought to a Maryport school.

Italian teacher Stefania Luciani took part in a foreign exchange and spent two days in Ewanrigg Junior School working with children and experiencing what happens in England.

She will now take what she's learned and implement those ideas back home.

Year three teacher Dean Ritson will then visit Miss Luciani'a school in Italy.

Emma Tolmie, senior teaching assistant at the school, said: "In her two days here she has experienced English food and culture and has been amazed by the polite, enthusiastic and respectful children at Ewanrigg juniors."

The trip was organised by Cdec, which provides global education services to encourage greater collaboration between English and Italian schools.
