A Seaton craft group will hold an exhibition on Saturday and raffle a quilt that they have made in aid of the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue.

The Stitch Class has been together for over 14 years, has 16 members and collectively make at least one quilt every year to raise funds for local charities.

The quilt this year took three weeks to make and monies raised from the raffle of the quilt will go to the Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team.

The patchwork exhibition, also features Linus quilts for Project Linus.

These quilts are distributed to children up to the age of 18 that have medical, social or mental health problems. The Linus quilts will be given to the Allerdale co-ordinator at the exhibition.

There will also be stalls selling patchwork fabrics, wool fibre for felting, and goods from Just Sew from Penrith and Handmade By You from Maryport.

All stalls will also donate a raffle prize. Tickets for the raffle can be bought on the day, or by calling Gill on 07813903114.

The Stitch Class exhibition will take place at Seaton Village Hall on November 3, from 10am to 4pm. Entry is £2.50, which includes refreshments.
