A man who had a metal bar in public and committed assault which caused another man actual bodily harm will be sentenced by a crown court judge.
Alex Robert John Hodgetts, 18, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington and admitted three charges.
The court heard that, on January 26, Hodgetts had had the metal bar with him on Grasmoor Road, Salterbeck, Workington.
On the same date, magistrates were told, he had used or threatened unlawful violence, and had committed assault against another man, causing actual bodily harm.
Hodgetts, of Walls Road, Salterbeck, Workington, admitted using or threatening unlawful violence, committing assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and possessing an offensive weapon in public.
Magistrates sent his case to Carlisle Crown Court, where he is expected to be sentenced on November 23.
