THE B5302 is closed in both directions between Silloth and Abbeytown after a crash at Kingside Hill.
A lorry collided with a bridge between the Blackdyke turn off and the Mawbray turn off just before 12pm, prompting the closure so recovery work could be carried out.
Motorists are being warned the closure could be in place for some hours.
There were no serious injuries to the driver.
