THE glitz and sparkle of Vegas is coming to Cockermouth for the night - as part of a Kirkgate fundraising drive.

Friends of the Kirkgate have organised a Vegas Night on Friday, November 16.

People can enjoy some fizz and try their hand at roulette or black jack.

For the more traditional gamblers there is also a raffle, with prizes

galore donated by local businesses.

Organiser Emma Heys said: "There's

professionals to guide you through, and don't worry, the play in our

casino is not for cash, chips are provided (included in the ticket

price) with a grand prize for the biggest winner.

"'Tom Jones' and our very own 'Elvis' will be there to

entertain when you need a break from the high rolling."

Tickets cost £5.
