MARYPORT’S £90,000 new gym opens in the Wave Centre tomorrow.
Managers GLL said the 30 stations of cardio and resistance equipment will be market-leading Technogym technology. There will also be a range of free weights.
This is the latest attempt by management and the Wave owners, Allerdale council, to offset the running costs and reduce the subsidy needed to keep the facility open.
The new leisure centre will join Clip ‘n’ Climb and Cave in the Wave, all designed to attract families. The gym will be open Monday to Wednesday from 9am to 8pm and Thursday to Sunday from 9am to 5pm.
