A boat rescue was launched to reach a man injured while walking in Wasdale.
The 36-year-old man slipped on the scree at the far end of Wastwater.
He had injured his knee and was suffering from hyperthermia.
It happened at about 4.30pm yesterday.
Firefighters joined forces with Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team to rescue the man.
They launched a boat on the lake to get to him and ensure he received treatment as quickly as possible.
