A teenager has helped to raise £844 towards upgrading Keswick School's food technology facilities by designing a sandwich named the Stinky Pig.
Tom Booth, 13, who attends the school, won the Lake District Hotels Ltd design a sandwich competition in April.
His winning sandwich was sold in company's seven hotels - Inn on the Square, Skiddaw Hotel and the Kings Arms Hotel in Keswick, Lodore Falls Hotel and Spa and Borrowdale Hotel in Borrowdale, Inn on the Lake at Ullswater and the George Hotel in Penrith - between April and October.
Fifty pence from the sale of each sandwich went towards the school's fundraising, which is the company's chosen cause.
Tom's sandwich, featuring hot back bacon, Eden Valley brie and mango chutney on warm ciabatta with a rocket, celery and radish side salad and balsamic dressing reached 1,668 sales.
Dani Hope, marketing director for Lake District Hotels Ltd, said: "The Stinky Pig sandwich went down a treat across our hotels, especially at the Inn on the Lake where they sold 782 sandwiches. It was great to see our customers enjoying Tom’s creation."
The Lake District Hotels group has more fundraisers to come, including a Royal Ascot Ladies Race Day and a Wild West charity night, which will take place next year.
