Christmas tree sales will be starting from Forestry Commission’s Whinlatter site on December 1.

Customers will receive free all-day parking with their Christmas Tree purchase, and can enjoy the walking trails, WildPlay or some Mountain biking, and finish with cake and hot chocolate in Siskins Café.

And there are exciting family events during December, including a Christmas Orienteering competition, a Christmas Pudding Family Fun Run and craft activities!

In addition, classrooms in the Forest lead Primary school visits to Whinlatter. During the festive season, one of the bookable visits includes learning about how to look after the forests, and the wildlife which benefits from sustainable forestry.

As part of the ranger-led visit, the school can choose to purchase sustainably grown Christmas trees to decorate and enjoy back at school.

Beckstones Primary School (Harrington) are one of the annual visitors to the forest to take part in these activities.
